Botanical Name: Artemisia dracunclus
Tarragon spice is somewhat similar to anise root in fragrance; it's flavor adds a great deal to lighter dishes such as poultry, fish and eggs. As a therapeutic herb, Tarragon is also used to treat digestion problems, poor appetite, water retention, and toothache. It can also be used to start menstruation and to promote sleep.
