OREGON GRAPE Mahonia (Berberis) aquifolium Liquid extract of young lateral root Actions: Alterative that enhances elimination of depraved body fluids and thereby promotes clean blood. Increases liver metabolism and elimination, and promotes gallbladder's secretion of bile. Bitter digestive tonic; promotes healthy function of stomach and intestines, and improves digestion and assimilation. Augments glandular and urinary secretions. Uses: Inflammatory and catarrhal conditions of the gastrointestinal mucous membranes; coated tongue and fetid breath; stomatitis, dyspepsia, indigestion, loss of appetite. Dyscrasia. Chronic skin diseases; eczema, psoriasis, herpes and acne; to promote clear complexion. Profusely secreting tumid mucous membranes; catarrh of nasal and ocular membranes. Prolonged use promotes regular bowel movements and relieves constipation. Dose: Take 30 to 40 drops, 2 to 5 times per day.
