Herb Circle in the park
It was the most beautiful way to spend a June Saturday, with Jo Anne and herb-enthusiasts in Bay Ridge! We strolled around the botanical garden, smelled the roses, touched and felt plants, then sat around in our Herb Circle, under red wood trees, and made medicine. We learned about medicinal herbs and exchanged stories. Sitting around in a small group making herb tinctures and chatting was itself a very healing and therapeutic experience! Jo Anne brought a lot of fresh herbs for the class to choose from to make tinctures, but she also gave us extras to take home to continue to explore. I continued to make tinctures and infusions until I ran out of jars at home, and I strung the leftovers and hanging them to dry for later uses. Look forward to upcoming sessions, and see how the plants in the parks change with the seasons, and to reunion with my new herb-buds. <3

Amazing as always
Jo Anne just brings everything together that the wise-woman tradition stands for. Wisdom, community-building, love, humanity. You will feel the approach of "hinting you to what you already know deep down inside and forgot along the way" happening! You sit together while making medicine and the magic of community happens and becomes a part of the medicine. Just naturally and authentically brilliant.
