COFFEE and CREAM SWIRLS
STRAWBERRY and CREAM SWIRLS
Everyone loves the gift of a beautiful fine handmade soap!
Join Jo Anne Richards, Herbalist, Formulator and Resident Teacher at Remedies Herb Shop to learn the fine art of colored and swirled, cold-process soap making! In this hands on workshop, you will learn how to safely handle soap making ingredients, and the properties of the various oils and choices and techniques for coloring and decorating your handmade cold process soap. Jo Anne will give you tips for finishing your soap, wrapping it, and labeling it. You will go home with approximately 2 pounds of soap (6-8 bars) which you will have personally made, and a handout filled with plenty of “how-to” information, including soap recipes, safety guidelines, soap calculators, and Jo Anne's list of her favorite soap making materials suppliers, including where to buy natural, herbal soap colorants.
We will swirl a batch of coffee and goats milk soap, and a separate batch of strawberry and dairy cream! Wowza! What fun! :D
Students should have already attended Remedies Herb Shop's Introduction to Soap Making (Cold Process) or have previous hands on experience with making cold process soap.
