Introduction to Soap Making Workshop (Cold-Process)

Everyone loves the gift of a fine handmade soap!

Join Jo Anne Richards, Herbalist, Formulator and Resident Teacher at Remedies Herb Shop to learn the fine art of cold-process soap making! In this hands on workshop, you will learn the history of soap making, how to safely handle soap making ingredients, and the  properties of the various oils and herbs you may choose to make your own high-quality, hand-made soap.  Jo Anne will give you tips for finishing your soap, wrapping it, and labeling it.  You will go home with approximately 2 pounds of soap (6-8 bars) which you will have personally made, and a handout filled with plenty of “how-to” information, including soap recipes, safety guidelines, soap calculators, and Jo Anne's list of her favorite soap making materials suppliers.
Oh!  And you’ll have fun!!  Class size is limited to 10, so students get plenty of personalized attention.  Sign up early!
